One way students can find employment opportunities in public accounting is through campus recruitment. Many accounting firms, including the Big Four, national firms, and mid-size firms do the bulk of their campus hiring about one year in advance for students to start with their firms in January, May, or September.
Previously, Fall Recruit activities included a calendar of key dates, and networking events where CPA firms met with post-secondary students interested in pursuing a career in public practice. After considerable stakeholder discussion, an open and flexible recruitment schedule will be observed for 2017. CPABC remains committed to facilitating opportunities for students, faculty, public practice firms, industry, and government to network throughout the year, including CPABC Connect Night, Speed Networking events, and the Employer Showcase.
